It's also a good mix from different states. What about folks from the West Coast? |
Mr. Clevelandgrad
Unfortunately, like so many others, I do not know many pastors from west of El Paso. There are some administrators that I like. Sean O'Neal, Bill Claypoole, and Tommy Powell would all be fresh faces.
Do have any names that you could recommend? |

Mr. LongHornFan,
I am fairly new to West Coast leadership so, I am seeking and looking information on our leaders. I am listing below some leaders recommended by Mr. Bohannon. I have put in bold print qualities that I think will benefit our 18.
Mr Bohannon recommended these gentlemen:
Rocky Mountain Region -
Tommy Powell... state/regional overseer... former pastor... former district overseer... former state council... Tommy was my second and last pastor to work for. He is a pastor's pastor. He loves pastors. He loves people. He has managed a decent sized staff and budget well. He is serving in a mission region. Before that, he pastored several successful congregations including the one I worked with him at for over 15 years.
-mission region
- pastors pastor
- district overseer
Texas -
Doug Anderson... pastor... state council... former children's pastor... Doug pastors the largest and one of the great-history church in the state of Texas and west of the Mississippi River. He is one of the most creative thinkers I know. He manages a very large staff and budget. He is brother to Ken Anderson mentioned in the video by Bishop Williams and Bishop Hill.
- large church pastor
- former childrens pastor
Patrick Wooten... pastor... state council... former youth pastor... Patrick is one of the innovative thinkers of Texas. His congregation has more than tripled in size in four years. He likes to mentor other pastors. I have benefited from the mentoring relationship.
- Youth Pastor
- tripled congregations size
- mentor
Chris Fraley... pastor... district overseer... state council... evangelism director... Chris left Lee University and planted the Freehold COG in New Jersey. Again, and like Steve, he could have pastored anywhere but he has chosen and faithfully served in a NE missions state.
- district overseer
- evangelism director
- church planter _________________ QUESTIONS |

Is it possible to invite some of these candidates to come on this site and let us interview them?
Those of you who are recommending these leaders, would you send them an invite to sign on and allow us to get to know them. _________________ QUESTIONS |

I sent an email to Chris Fraley asking if he would come on Acts and allow some folks to get to know him. _________________ QUESTIONS |

He is going to need more than the group on Actscelerate to get elected.
I have been on Actscelerate for many, many years and I do not know
of one person that this group has been instrumental in their being elected.
And there are far fewer of us now. Just saying! _________________ We always reap what we sow. Remember...the quality of your future is decided by the choices you make today. |

Mr. HighFive,
Agreed it will take more than those who post on this site to see him elected but after looking at the number of posts and the number of visits at the bottom of the front page of this site it appears a substantial number of people have visited over time. If enough well intentioned church leaders and members will continue to express our concern and our preferences, I do think we can see some additional positives come from our next GA.
I believe our current US presidential cycle has proven that the once silent voters have raised their voices and are now being heard. Who would have thought a Donald Trump or a Bernie Sanders would be the top choices?
Mr. HighFive,
Who do you recommend? Maybe, you are a good candidate for the council of 18? _________________ QUESTIONS |

Travis Johnson for the 18 |

The testimony that Travis gave about what God has been able to accomplish at the church he pastors, makes me believe he would be a great candidate for the council of 18. Thoughts?
We need to continue supplying Cleveland with men and women who can get the job done. Ask them to take the knowledge they have gained and share it with the whole denomination and hopefully they will do so, without charging everyone for that knowledge. _________________ QUESTIONS |

I have 0 problem with Travis Johnson but how does 2mil paid debt qualify him for the C18. I have not heard how TJ got the 2mil. There could have been one person to write a huge check. Would that qualify TJ for the C18?
I repeat, I have no problem with TJ, I have heard nothing negative about the brother and have enjoyed his dialog on Acts. _________________ Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

Mr. JLarry,
If I heard the whole testimony properly, I understand that his congregation is fairly large as well. He has been able to move the congregation a number of times and still continue to grow it in numbers. I have watched some videos of his church and am impressed with their baptism services, their outreach programs and to be honest his straightforward and honest approach to ministry. They also seem to use technology a great deal which is something that will reach the next generation.
Mr. Travis Johnson,
If you still post on this site, would you please expound on your ministry style? _________________ QUESTIONS |
